Beating Suspect Cuts GPS Device, Flees

Full story and MySpace profile:

A 24-year-old man connected to the revenge slaying of a homeless man earlier this year has disappeared and is thought to have absconded. Authorities said he removed the device attached to his ankle that discloses his whereabouts.

Travis Jerome Riley, 1689 Kracker Ave., in Gibsonton was found to be separated from the global positioning system ankle bracelet over the weekend. On Sunday, Hillsborough County sheriff's deputies issued a plea for help in finding Riley, who was charged with aggravated battery in the Dec. 29 beating of a homeless man last year.
