The Metropolitan Police Department officer accused of using text messages to try and set up a sexual liasion with a 14-year-old boy will remain behind bars until his next court appearance in February.
Thirty-nine-year-old Kenneth L. Longerbeam appeared in U.S. District Court in D.C. on Thursday to face charges of attempted enticement of a minor.
Longerbeam was arrested Wednesday as he came into the District. Investigators say Longerbeam had arranged through a cooperating witness to meet a 14-year-old boy for the purposes of having sex.
