The former San Angelo youth minister and football coach accused Wednesday of having sex with one of his students began an inappropriate relationship with the 15-year-old through the MySpace Web site and cell-phone text messaging, the girl's father said Thursday.
Trevor Hays Blair, 32, an assistant pastor at Tree of Life Church and coach of the church-affiliated TLC Academy six-man football team, resigned those positions Wednesday after city police said they found him in a local park early that morning with the girl.
