Fake MySpace Profile Brings Down 67 Year Old Man

Full story and MySpace profile:

In the latest online sex sting in the lake area, the Sulphur Police Department along with Louisiana State Police used multiple resources to catch 67-year-old Eugene Wilson of Gonzalez. Officers posed as a 14-year-old girl from Sulphur, and even created a decoy myspace page. Major McNeil says, "Myspace is a big area of concern for parents, there's a lot of solicitation that goes on through myspace."

After about three weeks of chatting online, Wilson arranged a sexual encounter for the two. Sulphur police staked out Frasch Park, the destination in Wilson's 200-mile trip. Major McNeil says, "In his possession he had alcohol and sex toys, so it's pretty clear what his intentions were. When they drive 200 miles, you know, it pretty much establishes that they aren't just coming to visit."
