Man Accused Of Pursuing MySpace Girl

A 46-year-old Binghamton man has been charged in Pennsylvania with attempting to meet an officer who was posing online as a 14-year-old girl.

Jesse Dwayne Brown, of 33 Holland St., is charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, two counts of obscene and other sexual material and performances, criminal solicitation, and criminal attempt, all felonies.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, an officer created a fake profile, entered MySpace chat rooms and didn't initiate conversations.

Brown, who identified himself as "Jesse_male," allegedly used MySpace instant messenging service to first contact the "girl" at 2:03 p.m. June 16. According to the affidavit, "Jesse_male" asked if she had a boyfriend and told her he thought she was hot.
