Attorney General Henry McMaster announced Friday a Clinton man was arrested Thursday in an undercover Internet sting conducted by Anderson Police.
Jack Nelson Wells, age 23, was arrested on one count of criminal solicitation of a minor, according to a news release.
Arrest warrants allege that beginning on December 1, 2006, Wells solicited sex on the Internet with an individual he believed to be a 12-year-old girl. In reality, he was communicating with an undercover Anderson police officer.
