Man Held For Rape, May Have Used MySpace

Full story and MySpace profile:

Undre Beasley, 22, is being held in the Miller County Correctional Facility on charges of rape and sexual assault, according to court documents. The charge of rape was filed in December while the sexual assault charge was filed Friday. The cases involve two different victims. Authorities say there may be others who are afraid to come forward.

“We want any victims to know we won’t reveal their identities,” said Shawn Fitzgerald, Texarkana, Texas, Police Department Public Information Officer. “We suspect there are more victims out there.”

An Arkansas school teacher overheard students discussing sexual acts they had performed with Beasley and contacted police, court documents show. An interview with one student led police to file the rape charges.

Around July 4, 2005, Beasley is alleged to have invited the 13-year-old house guest of a neighbor into his home. The girl told investigators she first met the suspect at Skate America shortly after her 13th birthday. Charges of rape are filed when a victim under the age of 14 is involved, said Miller County Deputy Prosecutor Charles Black.

The victim told of having sex with the suspect at least 10 times in a two-year period and provided the names of other girls she thought might have also engaged in sexual conduct with him. Meetings between the two may have been arranged through e-mails, contact via the Website Myspace.com and text messages between cell phones.

Undre was eventually found guilty and sentenced to prison.
