MySpace Arrest In Massachusetts

From 2007:

Mark A. Morin, 25, of 25 Aroostook St., Worcester, was arraigned yesterday in Central District Court, Worcester, on charges of enticing a child under 16 and attempting to commit a crime (statutory rape), according to court records. He was held on $5,000 cash bail at the Worcester County Jail in West Boylston, according to Timothy J. Connolly, director of communications for the Worcester district attorney’s office. He is scheduled to return to court April 25.

In a statement of facts filed in court, state Trooper John M. Conron said he was asked Monday to assist Auburn and Ayer police with an investigation of online enticement. The statement said Ayer Sgt. Austin Cole was dispatched to a home in Ayer on March 5. When he arrived, Sgt. Cote was told that a subscriber to MySpace.com was attempting to entice a 14-year-old boy at that residence who was also using MySpace.com
