A Homestead man arrested last week on charges of receiving child pornography following a raid on his house by U.S. postal inspectors was ordered detained yesterday pending trial.
Federal agents said Kevin Dominy, 25, of East 17th Street, had been corresponding online at local public and university libraries and through the mail with an undercover New Hampshire police officer posing as a 14-year-old boy.
The case started in February when Detective James McLaughlin of the Keene, N.H., police department began corresponding with Mr. Dominy through a MySpace site he created to catch sex offenders.
