MySpace Messages Lead To Teachers Firing

Full story and MySpace profile:

Treasure Coast High School teacher was fired Wednesday and arrested by St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office, charged with sending sexual online and cell phone text messages to three female students.

Steven Maffucci, 30, of Port St. Lucie, faces charges of lewd and computer solicitation of a child. He is being held on $25,000 bond.

Maffucci was a 10th-grade English teacher and had been employed in the district for two years.

The communications began in May, at the end of the school year, when Maffucci gave one student his information for the social networking Web site MySpace.com to keep in touch.
