MySpace Rape Victim Speaks Out

Full story and MySpace profile:

A teenager who was raped by someone she met online is warning other teens about online dangers.

Brittany Bartlett, 17, used the family computer for homework, fun and meeting new people.

"We were in a chat room and he (instant-messaged) me and that's how it all started," Brittany said.

KMBC's Lara Moritz reported that Sean Salstrom, a military man, started communicating with Brittany, who was 15 at the time, and her 12-year-old friend.

"She set up a time and date to go meet him, and we went to go meet him. The only reason I went was to go protect her," Brittany said.

The girls met Salstrom in a church parking lot. Brittany said Salstrom then took them to his house, Moritz reported.
