MySpace Tip Leads Mom To Abducted Son

From March:

Tiffany Rubin, a school teacher in Queen's, New York, became locked in a bitter custody fight with her estranged boyfriend, Jeffrey Salko, the father of their 7-year-old son Kobe Lee (top left).

A court appointed guardian had given sole custody of the child to Rubin, but his dad was allowed visits every other weekend. They finally arranged a joint custody agreement but Salko was facing 6 months in jail for not paying child support. And then, last August 21st, after one of his scheduled visits to see the boy, both of them suddenly disappeared.

The distraught mother feared she'd never see her son again, and was afraid Salko may have taken him to the country where he was born - South Korea. As it turns out, she was right. She managed to hack into her ex's email account and discover he'd flown off to the faraway country with the youngster. But she had no idea where they were.

But not much happened until January, when someone found Rubin's MySpace page, and left a key tip that her son had been spotted in South Korea. It gave the name of a school and its location, the missing clues she'd been waiting so long to discover.
