MySpace Used To Find "Willing Teens", Say Police

A former music teacher used drugs and alcohol to help convince dozens of local high school girls and recent graduates to pose nude on the Internet, investigators said.

Waterford Police said they arrested the 43-year-old resident Thursday on charges of possession with intent to distribute the drug Ecstasy. He's being held at the Oakland County Jail on unrelated charges.

Police said it appears that all the girls were old enough to legally pose nude, but not to drink alcohol. When officers raided the home on Scott Lake Road, they found the man in bed with a 17-year-old Saline girl who had been drinking, said Waterford Sgt. Todd Hasselbach.

Officers seized doses of what appeared to be the drug, plus some alcohol, computers and camera equipment. Police are waiting for results of toxicology tests before pressing drug-related charges.

Investigators said the man met a number of the girls through MySpace.com, a social Web site where many teens post their personal information and pictures.
