Outrage At MySpace Shock Videos

From 2007:

An Australian university lecturer says the Rupert Murdoch-owned global social networking website MySpace has neglected a "grey area of child abuse".

The academic's criticism follows complaints from shocked users over a video of a baby playing with a deadly cobra snake.

But the man who posted the video, which shows a baby repeatedly trying to grab the snake, says he wasn't promoting child cruelty and offered to remove it from the site.

The video, entitled Kid and a Cobra, shows the baby laying on its stomach within arm's reach of the snake. The child continually lunges for the cobra, which reacts and tries to bite the child.

The child grabs the cobra, it retaliates and starts to coil its tail around the baby's head.
