Teens Who Met Girls On Net Show Up @ H.S

From 2006:

Two Maryville High School girls came very close to danger in their own school because of who they met online. The girls met two teen boys from Nashville on myspace.com.

The information the girls gave to those boys led them to their school and into the path of other students.

Inside Maryville High School is like a maze full of halls with lots of twists and turns. There were lots of students roaming the halls just before 8:30 Monday morning.

That's when Principal Ken Jarnagin says a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old boy from Nashville entered the school.

Jarnagin says the two were harassing female students and might have gone undetected if those students hadn't complained. We weren't able to talk with the girls involved.

Seventeen-year-old Erica Linginfelter is a student at Maryville High. She says news of the security breech spread fast. "That was very frightening because I wasn't sure what they (the boys) wanted to do."

In a school that boasts more than 80 security cameras and a school resource officer, they found the teen boys within minutes.
