Former Pizza Hut Manager Convicted In MySpace Sex Case

Suspect to be sentenced in January:

A Wellington Florida man has been convicted on charges that he used MySpace and AOL to blackmail underage boys into having sex with him.

Police arrested Timothy Wayne Beckett, a 20-year-old Pizza Hut manager, last year after they discovered that he had posing as a 17-year-old girl on MySpace and then "tricking" them into e-mailing naked pictures of themselves. The initial report that had been filed stated that if they didn't oblige to his request he would then threaten to disseminate the photos.

In one case, Beckett picked a teen up under the guise that he was going to meet his sister. However, the sister was a no show so Beckett then offered the boy $1,000 to engage sexual activity with him. A tip to the NCMEC blew the case wide open.

My original post on Timothy Beckett can be found here and here.

UPDATE: Beckett sentenced to 15 years
