DNA Links Man To Rape And Murder
Circleville police made an arrest Wednesday in connection to the July 21, 1990, murder and rape of Mary Cook. Cook was 83 years old at the time of her murder nearly 18 years ago, according to a news release from the Circleville Police Department.
Man Accused Of Child Sex Crimes
Post Falls police announced Thursday night that they had arrested a man Wednesday evening they say was sexually abusing children and involved in child pornography for the past several years, including delivery on the Internet.
Police arrested 52-year-old Kevin Greer after a search warrant was served on his residence. The warrant was the culmination of a two-month investigation by Post Falls Police and the Idaho Attorney General's Office.
Further interviews with several children revealed a pattern of sexual abuse that went on for a number of years, when the children were between 7-12 years of age.

The former drama teacher at Mountain Range High School was arrested last week after accusations surfaced that he sexually assaulted a student.
Jeremy Dennis, 25, was arrested on May 23 for two counts of felony sex assault on a child by a person in a position of trust. He is also charged with sex assault in a pattern of abuse.

College Professor Arrested On Child Porn Charges
Shocking charges surface against a Midland College professor involving sharing child pornography over the Internet. Dr. David Allen is the custody of U.S. Marshals after an investigation that began more than a year ago.
That was the same day Immigration and Customs Enforcement special agents removed Allen's personal computer from his home on Quicksand Drive. On it, they say they found chat sessions exchanging dozens of images of child pornography, including those of underage girls posing nude and children engaging in sexually explicit acts. Those children - anywhere from infants to about 15 years old.

Another sex crime in Sioux Falls and once again it involves children. At six o' clock Tuesday night police arrested 38 year old Barry Thunder for raping a three and four year old, and making child pornography.
Thunder lived at 3520 North 8th Avenue in Sioux Falls. Neighbors say several people, including small children, live at the home. And they say Tuesday night's arrest is a reminder to keep a close watch on your children.

Man Sentenced In Predator Sting
An Orlando man was sentenced to 25 months in prison for trying to have sex with a girl who he thought was only 14 years old.
Jordan Eikenberry, 28, was arrested in July during one of Polk County's internet predator sting.

Woman Accused Of Sex With Boy, Used MySpace
41-year-old Teresa Cantrall admits to having a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old Appleton boy.
The criminal complaint says Cantrall knew it was wrong, but she loved the boy. The two would keep in touch through the networking wesite MySpace.
She was arrested earlier this month when the boy was pulled over for speeding while driving on the highway. At the time, Cantrall told police she was the boy's mother and she was teaching him how to drive.
She has since pleaded not guilty.

An Orange County man who is accused of having sex with a 12-year-old girl he allegedly met on the Internet, met the judge on Wednesday, instead.
Police said Luis Quinones, 28, met the girl online through MySpace.com.
After being arrested Tuesday at his house, Quinones admitted to meeting the girl at least eight times over the past two weeks, and that the two had sex each time.

A 31-year-old Kissimmee man was arrested Friday and charged with having sex with a Lake Alfred 16-year-old he met on MySpace, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said.

Alleged Internet Predator Arrested
A Savannah man who thought he was driving 130 miles to meet a 13-year-old girl Wednesday was met instead by Shelbyville police detectives.
"He showed up at Never Rest Park at 8:30 a.m. with several pieces of clothing, a webcam and condoms," Merlo said.

Sex Offenders Arrested For Using MySpace
The State Police today arrested three registered sex offenders for violating their parole by accessing MySpace and Facebook despite a law that went into effect this January prohibiting their use of such Internet sites.
Stanton Ulmer, 32, of Neptune Township, Felice Black, 24, of Paterson, and Pietro Parisi, 34, of Westville, were arrested in early morning raids. Detectives also seized computers, a webcam, and a cell phone.

A 25-year-old man charged with kidnapping a woman and putting her in the trunk of a car was indicted by a grand jury Thursday.
Matthew P. Plas was indicted on charges of kidnapping, aggravated robbery, attempted murder, felonious assault, attempted rape, tampering with evidence, having weapons while under disability, gross sexual imposition and carrying concealed weapon.

She was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center where she is currently recovering. The bullet severed her spinal cord, paralyzing Stevens from the waist down.

Police arrested a man wanted in Oregon who is accused of raping and holding a woman hostage for hours at a home near Eatonville.
Pierce County sheriff's investigators said 22-year-old Buddy Pfaff was on a methamphetamine binge when he became paranoid and pulled a knife.
According to probable cause documents Pfaff began threatening the victim, a 50-year-old woman, and told her she was going to die. The documents said Pfaff held a knife to her throat and repeatedly raped her.
Pierce County sheriff's investigators said 22-year-old Buddy Pfaff was on a methamphetamine binge when he became paranoid and pulled a knife.

The Kingwood teenager's story of decapitating a corpse and using the head to smoke marijuana was so outlandish that at first Houston Police Department senior police officer Jim Adkins did not believe it.
Yet, Kevin Wade Jones Jr., 17, appeared almost indifferent as he relayed the bizarre description of his and two friends' activities at an Humble area graveyard, Adkins said.
"I just doubted it because it's very morbid, and I couldn't see anybody doing something like this," Adkins said Thursday.
Not until police went to the home of another Kingwood 17-year-old, Matthew Richard Gonzalez, did the officer believe the tale.
"He regurgitated in his plate of food when I asked him about it," Adkins said. "So I knew there was some truth to the story."
Now, Jones, Gonzalez and a juvenile whose name has not been released are each charged with abuse of a corpse, a misdemeanor. All three were arrested Wednesday night.
Police said a fourth suspect is wanted for questioning.
Houston police believe the teens disturbed the grave of an 11-year-old boy who died in 1921.
The child was buried at an unmarked cemetery believed to be reserved for black veterans and their families, Adkins said.

A Germantown man who was seen talking with girls outside Menomonee Falls North Junior High School and possibly giving them motorcycle rides has been charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.

A Germantown man who was seen talking with girls outside Menomonee Falls North Junior High School and possibly giving them motorcycle rides has been charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.
David A. Potter, 50, of Germantown is charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child and one count of attempted second-degree sexual assault of a child in connection with incidents that occurred with the same girl in March, June and July of 2007, according to a criminal complaint filed in Waukesha County Circuit Court.

A convicted sex offender accused of molesting a 12-year- old Orange County boy at San Onofre State Beach and a 9-year-old boy on another occasion must stand trial on sexual assault charges, a judge ruled Friday, according to City News Service.
Hubert Haraszewski, 32, faces at least 381 years to life behind bars if convicted of all charges, said Deputy District Attorney Patricia Lavermicocca.
The boy testified that Haraszewski told him he was 19. The teen, who avoided looking at the defendant in the courtroom -- said he got "Squirrel's" e-mail address and added him as a friend on his MySpace page.
The two met up almost every weekend after that, using their bicycles to jump hills at an area called Sheep Hills, he said.
A convicted sex offender accused of molesting a 12-year- old Orange County boy at San Onofre State Beach and a 9-year-old boy on another occasion must stand trial on sexual assault charges, a judge ruled Friday, according to City News Service.
Hubert Haraszewski, 32, faces at least 381 years to life behind bars if convicted of all charges, said Deputy District Attorney Patricia Lavermicocca.
The boy testified that Haraszewski told him he was 19. The teen, who avoided looking at the defendant in the courtroom -- said he got "Squirrel's" e-mail address and added him as a friend on his MySpace page.
The two met up almost every weekend after that, using their bicycles to jump hills at an area called Sheep Hills, he said.

Paul J. Danao, 26, was arrested Saturday and charged with second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and possession of a destructive device, material and components.
The owner of a Bluffton tow lot called a sheriff’s detective Wednesday when the owner’s girlfriend saw what appeared to be child porn in plain view inside the van, authorities said.

He allegedly ordered them to take out bills in $20, $50 and $100 denominations and stuff them into a white shopping bag he was carrying.

Megan N. Partin, 42157 Conifer Drive, was booked with possession of child pornography, indecent behavior with a juvenile, two counts of molestation of a juvenile and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, Landry said.
Partin initially was arrested March 11 and booked with possession of marijuana. But during that arrest, her cell phone camera confirmed drug use, Landry said.
Officers obtained a search warrant to examine the contents of the cell phone and discovered “explicit videos involving the boy,” Landry said.

Matthew M. Drullinger appeared before District Judge Susan Watters, who also ordered him to pay nearly $24,000 in restitution.
Prosecutors say the 56-year-old victim was walking in the clinic parking lot when she was struck several times and sustained injuries that required nearly six hours of surgery, three units of blood and more than 150 stitches in her head.

Federal agents said Kevin Dominy, 25, of East 17th Street, had been corresponding online at local public and university libraries and through the mail with an undercover New Hampshire police officer posing as a 14-year-old boy.

The Charlotte Observer reported that police said the Rev. Robert Yurgel was taken into custody Wednesday in Passaic, N.J. Police said the accuser was 14 years old in 1999 and recently reported his account to Charlotte-Mecklenburg detectives.
The 43-year-old Yurgel was wanted on five counts of taking indecent liberties with a minor and two counts of statutory sex offense. He will be extradited to Charlotte.

Congdon of Chittenden faced a charge of first-degree murder in the shooting death of his father, Bernard Congdon Jr., but accepted a plea deal that lowered the charge to second-degree murder.
Under the terms of the plea deal, prosecutors agreed to ask for a sentence of 22 years to life in prison while the defense will be allowed to argue for any applicable sentence under the charge, which carries a minimum sentence of 20 years in jail.

A man killed his three young children at a downtown hotel room, then called the front desk to report their deaths Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
Police officers who responded to the 10th-floor room at the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards found the three children's bodies and Mark Castillo, 41, with minor cuts that appeared to have been self-inflicted, police spokesman Sterling Clifford said. He did know how the children were killed.
"Why he brought them here to do this is something we don't know yet," Clifford said.
Police identified the children as Anthony, 6, Austin, 4, and Athena, 2.
A man killed his three young children at a downtown hotel room, then called the front desk to report their deaths Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
Police officers who responded to the 10th-floor room at the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards found the three children's bodies and Mark Castillo, 41, with minor cuts that appeared to have been self-inflicted, police spokesman Sterling Clifford said. He did know how the children were killed.
"Why he brought them here to do this is something we don't know yet," Clifford said.
Police identified the children as Anthony, 6, Austin, 4, and Athena, 2.

Police allege Troy Shannon Belleth, 23, of Cranbourne North, used the internet to groom a 15-year-old girl who lived in the United States.
He appeared in Melbourne Magistrates Court for a filing hearing after being arrested at his home yesterday.
Prosecutor Krista Breckweg told the court Belleth's alleged offences began when the victim was aged 13.
The offences are alleged to have occurred between January 2006 and March 27 this year.

A Longview math teacher and soccer coach has been arrested on charges he had sex with a 15-year-old student.
Joe Starkey, who teaches math at R.A. Long High School and is an assistant soccer coach, allowed a 15-year-old runaway to stay at his apartment, according to court records.
Police found the runaway, who is a math student of Starkey’s, at his Longview apartment over the weekend, investigators said.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Starkey admitted to police that he had sex with the 15-year-old girl.

A Seattle-area man accused of taking a train to Portland last week to have sex with two boys was caught up in an undercover sting that began in an Internet chat room, according to federal court documents.
James E. Eggleston, 59, of Shoreline, Wash., is facing one count of interstate travel with the intent to engage in sexual acts with a person under the age of 12.
An affidavit filed by Special Agent James L. Mooney of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in support of a criminal complaint against Eggleston revealed new details in the case.
According to the affidavit, Mooney first contacted a person with the screen name "jimmy2" in a chat room called "#baby&toddlerlove" on Feb. 10.
The two traded instant messages about having sex with children and eventually traded e-mail addresses. "Jimmy2" described himself as a patient care coordinator for "trauma/psych."
They later set up a plan for "jimmy2" to travel to Portland and have sex with Mooney's two boys, ages 3 and 5, who were fictitious.
According to the affidavit, Mooney was able to subpoena records that linked Eggleston to the "jimmy2" screen name and e-mail addresses used to send messages to Mooney.
At some point, the affidavit said, Mooney was e-mailed child porn from the Washington man.
During the ongoing communications, the Washington man claimed to have had sex with a neighbor boy who had moved away, several boys in Hong Kong and a girl in Texas, the affidavit said.

Attorney General Mike Cox, Wayne County Sheriff Warren Evans and Van Buren Township Police Chief Gerry Champagne today announced that 27 individuals have been arrested as part of a joint proactive Internet Child Predator sting conducted March 7th, 8th and 9th in Wayne County's Van Buren Township.

Attorney General Mike Cox, Wayne County Sheriff Warren Evans and Van Buren Township Police Chief Gerry Champagne today announced that 27 individuals have been arrested as part of a joint proactive Internet Child Predator sting conducted March 7th, 8th and 9th in Wayne County's Van Buren Township.
One of the suspects arrested in the sting was 23 year old Keith Smallman.

Robert Weston Gregory, 28, of 208 Eastland Drive in Belton, was arrested Tuesday in an undercover Internet sting conducted by the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, according to officials.
According to arrest warrants, Mr. Gregory solicited sex on the Internet from an individual he believed to be a 13-year-old girl. In reality, Mr. Gregory was communicating with an undercover Anderson County sheriff’s deputy, according to the release.

Multiple charges of rape and sexual assault have been filed against a Derry Township man in connection with incidents involving a now 15-year-old girl over a period of 10years.
On Monday, state police charged Marc Andrew Barger Sr., 36, of Bradenville with two counts each of rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and indecent assault, and one count each of sexual assault, statutory sexual assault, indecent exposure, endangering the welfare of children, corruption of minors and criminal attempt.

Ralph Nickel, 31, has been charged in Fond du Lac County Circuit Court with solicitation of first-degree intentional homicide, felony intimidation of a victim and felony bail jumping.
Judge Steven Weinke set a $50,000 cash bond.
Court records also show that Nickel was bound over for trial on charges of second-degree sexual assault and child pornography in a case involving the 15-year-old girl.

A counselor for a teen camp in Chanceford Township has been charged with molesting a 13-year-old campgoer, state police said.
Curtis Franklin Wayns, 37, of Philadelphia, is charged with the felonies of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and unlawful contact with a minor, and the misdemeanors of indecent assault and corruption of a minor.
He was arraigned Friday morning in York County after coming here and voluntarily surrendering, police said. York County Prison had no record of Wayns as of 5 p.m. Friday.
State police Trooper Doug Miller said Wayns was a counselor at Camp Teen Haven, a nondenominational Christian ministry that serves inter-city children in the York, Lancaster and Philadelphia areas.

Killeen’s Little Blessings Daycare has closed voluntarily while local and state officials investigate the sexual assault of a 4-month-old baby.
An employee of the daycare, Terrance Charles Beard, 23, of Louisiana was arrested Friday evening on a warrant charging sexual assault of a child in an incident involving the 4-month-old girl on Feb. 20.

One alleged victim said the molestation occurred between the ages of 6 and 13 and the other between ages 5 and 6. One of the girls said she was made to "pinkie swear" that she wouldn't tell anyone.

A Johnson County, Missouri teacher is facing charges of sending porn to a student. Colleagues said 23-year-old Brian Foree is fresh out of college and not even done with his first year in the classroom and now he faces a career-ending accusation.
Foree is at home in Warrensburg on Monday night, as his career in the classroom falls apart. Foree is charged with furnishing pornography to a minor and his colleagues said the students he teaches everyday are crushed.
"It's unique in the fact that it's a teacher whose abusing his position in my opinion, to have improper communications with a student," Johnson County, Missouri prosecutor Lynn Stoppy said.

The Rains County Sheriff's Office has identified four suspects they say killed a mother and her two young children then set their house on fire. The suspects also allegedly shot the father early Saturday morning.
The father, Terry Caffey, authorities say was shot several times, once in the head, twice in the back and two times in the upper shoulder area. Authorities say he was able to escape and crawl to a neighbor's house for help. He's at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler in fair condition. The mother, Penny Caffey, 37 authorities say was shot and stabbed multiple times. Matthew Caffey, 13 was also shot and stabbed multiple times. His younger brother, Tyler Caffey, 8 authorities say was found with stab wounds.
Shortly after officials found the bodies at the Caffey home, located between Emory and Alba, the sheriffs department arrested four people. Authorities arrested Charlie James Wilkinson, 18, Charles Allen Waid, 20, Bobbi Gale Johnson, 18, and the Caffey's 16-year-old daughter. Authorities have not released her name because she is a juvenile. Friends tell us her name is Erin Caffey. All of the suspects, except Waid attend Emory High School. At this time, all four are in jail charged with three counts each of capital murder. Their bond has been set at $1.5 million dollars each.
