Three Men Accused Of Setting Black Church On Fire

Three Springfield, Massachusetts men have been arrested after setting fire to a predominately black church.

The three men accused, Benjamin F. Haskell, 22, Michael F. Jacques, 24, and Thomas A. Gleason Jr., 21, all allegedly poured gasoline in and around the Macedonia Church of God in Christ on Nov. 5., the day Barack Obama was elected President of the United States. All three were arrested on January 16th.

According to reports, an unidentified person told detectives that he/she, Haskell and Jacques had driven by the church four days after the fire and allegedly bragged to them that they had burnt it. When asked why, Haskell simply replied: "Because it was a black church."

Jacques told the same person that he had become enraged over Obama's historic victory and was concerned that "blacks and Puerto Ricans" would be afforded more rights than whites.

The three inbred hicks are scheduled to be released on bail sometime Monday.
