Roger Leon Barlow Arrested In Pennsylvania Arson Case

Suspect admits involvement, say police:

A 19-year-old Pennsylvania man has been taken into custody by police on multiple arson charges that included a fire in the town of Coatesville that left around 50 people homeless.

Police say, Roger Leon Barlow Jr., 19, of Downingtown, was taken into custody earlier today and charged with arson, aggravated assault and related counts.

Damages from the blaze, which Barlow allegedly told investigators he started on January 2nd, is estimated to have cost the city $1.2 million in damages.

Barlow was arraigned Thursday afternoon while bail was set at $9 million.

UPDATE: A second suspect, 20-year-old Mark Gilliam, of West Chester was apprehended late last night.

  1. I live in Coatesville, and I'm happy that him and Mark Gilliam have been arrested. I'm sure there are a couple more kids linked. There has to be. They created such chaos here.
