Teacher Jada Hendrix Arrested After Sexting Investigation

Woman engaged in sexual activity with student, say police:

A high school history teacher from Shreveport, Louisiana has been arrested on computer-aided solicitation charges after allegedly engaging in a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student.

Jada Hendrix, 23, who taught English at North DeSoto High School, was originally accused of "sexting" (sexually oriented text messages) the male student sometime back in February.

During a subsequent investigation police say they also believe that Hendrix engaged in sexual activity with the teen.

Hendrix, who often goes by name "jade_lane" online, is the second DeSoto Parish teacher to be arrested this month.
