Ashley Hepburn, 21, South Carolina, has been arrested in the battering death of her 16-month-old daughter, Audrina Claire. The tot was found in the corner of her crib, face-down and unresponsive, during the early morning hours of October 13. Hepburn claimed she had put her baby down for bed at 10:30pm, and she was fine other than being fussy from teething.
The injured tot was originally transported to Self Memorial Hospital, where her injuries were found to be substantial and caused by abuse. Baby Audrina was then life flighted to Greenville Memorial Hospital, where she fought to survive for four days. Her life slipped away on October 17, at 10:30pm.
According to law enforcement, "Hepburn caused the death of her daughter by battering her and causing irreparable damage to her brain" at their Cross Hill residence. The mother, term used loosely, was originally charged with inflicting great bodily injury on a child. Charges have been upgraded to murder for the party mom.
On her MySpace, Ashley Hepburn has a ton of photos of her son, whom she clearly adores, and very few of baby Audrina. In the 'about me' section, she states, "I HATE being at home, I HATE being alone.... I am crazy and find myself to be spontaneous.. I wish you would JUDGE me..it could be fun." Somebody fetch me a rock. Bah!
UPDATE: Hepburn found guilty, sentenced to 45 years.

I have no doubt this baby was an angel on earth (even though her mother didn't think so) & she's now an angel in heaven. Her "NEW ROOMMATES" will take care of her hopefully!!

All I can say is you're sick and I couldn't ever imagine someone hurting their own child! You deserve the death penalty. I have a 1yr old daughter and when I look at her, she is the most beautiful thing God could have given to me. You messed up. When I hear stories of people like you, I just feel so ill. You shouldn't have been born with a vagina at all. You shouldn't have had kids. I wish God could make it impossible for wenches like you to have a baby grow in you.

ReplyDeleteI would just like to ask Ashley's "family member" if Ashley didn't do this then who does she think did??? Do you think that precious baby girl beat herself until she had enough brain damage that it looked as if she had fallen from a 10 story building....you can defend her all you may but you should also not be so closed minded to think that this didn't happen or someone else did this...let's remember Ashley and Brandon both agreed that her mom and her mom's boyfriend were sleeping and that Ashley was the last one to have contact with her until Brandon went in to check on her later that night and once he found her unresponsive he called for help. There are things NO ONE will ever know but Ashley herelf and sorry dear, that applies to you as well, you will NEVER know the whole truth! All I can say is a helpless defenseless child lost her life that night and her mother should pay! I hope every day of her prison life it is like Hell here on Earth! I hope when she closes her eyes every night she will see that precious Audrina screaming and crying and fighting for her life, I hope she has to relive it over and over and OVER!!!! Maybe just maybe on more than one occasion she will be beat like she beat that baby! And still i'm afraid it wouldn't be enough to replace what she did to that child! And one last thing, how can you honestly defend her? Have you really sat back and imagined the picture of what that scene was really like, a 16 month old baby not able to do a damn thing but take what was happening to her....it literally makes me sick to my stomach to think that you or anyone else could ever defend someone's behavior that acted in that manner!!!
