Sex Offender Jospeh Hickerson Pleads Guilty In MySpace Case

Sleeping bags on school playground leads to break in case:

A 33-year-old sex offender from Utah who once told police he was 16 has pleaded guilty to engaging in sexual activity with a 14-year-old girl he met using MySpace.

Joseph L. Hickerson, of Salt Lake City, who told the girl a fake name and often gave her different ages of himself, 17, 19 and 25, was arrested in June after officers found sexually explicit pictures of the girl and other children on a CD he owned.

Police say they found him with the girl while investigating a report of "suspicious people with sleeping bags" at a local elementary school playground located in the town Stoughton.
