Mark Pace Arrested After Online Chat With Girl

Suspect held on $50,000 bail:

A 28-year-old Oregon man has been charged with 10 counts of encouraging child sexual abuse after allegedly engaging in inappropriate conversations online with a 14-year-old New Hampshire girl.

Mark Winston Pace, of Medford, was arrested on Tuesday after police wrapped up a rather lengthy nine month investigation into the girl's allegations.

Investigators say they have recovered a computer that had belonged to Pace and discovered at least 10 "sexually explicit" images that he had sent to the girl.

Pace is currently being held on $50,000 bail.

Child Porn Sting Nets Arrest

Images as young as 2 traded, say police:

A two-month long child pornography sting in the state of New Jersey has resulted in the arrest of 21 people.

According to authorities, the sweep was among the largest in the state and involved the trafficking of images involving children believed to be as young as 2.

Among those arrested with MySpace profiles were:

Daniel Borjas

Louis Beyer

Anthony Engstrom

Police: Man Used MySpace To Lure Girl Into Prostitution

Yet another article on the ever expanding epidemic of online child prostitution via KFMB-TV out of Florida:

"Authorities said a man used MySpace, Craigslist and other Internet services to recruit teenage girls into what was supposed to be a glamorous life of luxury, but turned out to be prostitution.

A man who identified himself as Charles Tyrone Young of Orlando, Fla. was arrested and charged with sex trafficking of minors by San Diego County sheriff's deputies, who were working with Los Angeles police, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.

Young, 28, reportedly used MySpace to entice a juvenile girl from Florida to his house in Las Vegas, where FBI agents said the girl "thought she was going to be a star." Instead, according to an affidavit from the federal agent, the girl met other teenaged girls already working as prostitutes."

MySpace Contact Leads To Charges

Alleged victim was middle-school student:

A Colorado State University student has been arrested by police on accusations that he sexually assaulted a middle-school student that he had purportedly met using MySpace.

Police say, Mohammed Abdullah Alsukairi, 24, of Fort Collins, assaulted the girl in his car late last month at a local skating rink parking lot.

Alsukairi was apprehended by officers last Thursday.

Alex Martinez Charged In Murder Of Angela Harris

A New York man has been arrested after police say he confessed on April 19th to killing his wife.

On Sunday, 22-year-old Alex D. Martinez walked into the Beacon Police Department and told them that he repeatedly slammed the head of Angela Harris into a wall at their shared apartment and choked her until she ultimately died.

Later, he told them that he threw the body of 21-year-old Angela Harris into a a reservoir.

The couple, who had recently wed in February, bore a son, who Martinez said he took to dump his son's once alive and now wrapped in plastic mother into the waters.

A cardboard box full of puppies (Lexus, BabyCakes, Gizmo, Snowflake, Ren, Stimpy, Tangerine & Nectarine) all ignorantly took part in the same journey as everyone traveled nearly 220 mile quest to rid of the filthy evidence.

Unfortunately for lazy Martinez, Harris's body defied his own personal logic and ultimately refused to sink.

After a frustrated and exhausted struggle, the newlywed decided to pack it up and call it a night.

Enough was a enough and the tired man was threw with the struggle.

So Martinez drove and drove all the way back to 807 Route 52, in Fishkill, New York and confessed to his crime around 4 a.m.

Meanwhile, the deaf continued to dream in April as the child screamed amid a backdrop of confused dogs.

It was after all the same, thought Martinez...

Police: Convicted Murderer Propositioned MySpace Girl, 11

South Carolina--A 27-year-old convicted killer from Holly Hill has been arrested after police say he used MySpace to locate an 11-year-old girl's cell phone number and subsequently solicited sex from her.

According to The Post and Courier:

"Marvin Douglas Clark, 27, of Holly Hill, is charged with criminal solicitation of a minor, dissemination of obscene material to a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. His total bond was set at $160,000, and he remained Tuesday night at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center in Moncks Corner."

Clark murder conviction stems from a 2002 argument between himself and his own then 61-year-old father. The two had reportedly gotten into a disagreement after a friend of the family refused to braid Marvin's hair.

Bond has been set at $160,000.

Joshua Guerrero Faces Sex Assault Charges

But police can't find him:

Police in Illinois are currently looking for a Colona man on allegations that he sexually assaulted two young Moline girls.

Joshua V. Guerrero, 27, is alleged to have abused the two girls, ages 8 & 10 sometime last year.

Guerrero faces charges of of predatory criminal sexual assault and aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

Sailor Andrew Koskovich Arrested On Child Porn Charges

Files of children as young as 6 discovered, say police:

Police in New York have arrested a 25-year-old sailor on charges that he possessed child pornography.

First Class Petty Officer Andrew Koskovich, of Saratoga Springs, was apprehended by officers after he was purportedly discovered sharing child porn over a p2p network by investigators.

Police say they had been following the online activity of Mr. Koskovich for at least a month prior to his arrest yesterday morning.

One file allegedly shared by the suspect involved a 6-year-old girl.

Koskovich was released after quickly posting $5,000 bail.

Marcus Yager Arrested In Slaying Of Two

A 22-year-old Ohio man arrested in the murder connection of two people plead not guilty in court yesterday, according to tribtoday.com.

Marcus Lee Yager, of Warren, has been charged with two counts of complicity to murder in the shooting deaths of Lloyd McCoy, 11, and Marvin J. Chaney, 26 that took place around 9:50 pm on April 13th.

Yager, who has previous drug related convictions dating back several years, identifies himself as "Young Montana" on his above MySpace page, which is of course a reference to the overrated piece of early 80's crap, "Scarface".  

Police really aren't saying all that much in regards to the case other than the fact that they are still looking for another suspect in the shooting.

If convicted on all charges, Yager could face up to life in prison.

And furthermore what's wrong with the following Craigslist ad ?

"Hi. I am a 30 year old male living in Southwest Longmont. I have come to realize that I really enjoy spending time with children. They are like little sponges that absorb knowledge and that's the most admirable trait I find among people these days. I eventually want to be some kind of camp counselor or youth director but I need some experience with kids plus references to get these kinds of jobs so I'm looking for babysitting experience.

I'm a very laid back individual and I study A LOT although don't go to school. I've written a couple books based on my understandings of the bible and such. I'm very very creative.

If you have children over the ages of six (out of diapers) or so I would be interested in babysitting them."

Well for one thing, placing babysitting ads on Craigslist isn't always the greatest idea. But what's even more troubling is the man who posted the ad. The man behind the screen.

The poster, who's online identity is usually masked using the screen name, "tawachioforion", is also a recently arrested Colorado man accused of soliciting sex from a mother and her 6-year-old daughter.

Yes, that's right, 30-year-old Brandt Owen Deboard, of Longmont, was apprehended by officers on Thursday at a local hotel after purportedly traveling there to meet the mother and the daughter for sex.

DeBoard, who's plan was called "elaborate" and "calculated" by investigators had purportedly engaged in graphic sexual detail for sometime with the mother in regards to her little 6-year-old daughter, according to the original source.

Deboard however is all over the place both online and offline.

Often hiding out in freaky little places that delve into various government conspiracies and alien related plots against our beloved planet earth.  You know, the usual pot smoking mindless drivel nonsense so popular with the upcoming Monday celebrators.

In one my favorite post of his found here, Deboard writes that he's been alive on earth for at least the last six thousand years, but also once ruled as Governor of Atlantis. 

I really hope he's role playing there, but something tells me he's not.  In fact, I think he's very serious about all of that.

His two other MySpace profiles found here and here, is just a mere shadow of what can be found on his personal blog.

Although his favorite one might have been the website godlikeproductions, in which he amassed an impressive 243 posts.

He also owned a personal website, mypriesthood.com, but oddly enough never got around to it much since he purchased it over three years ago.

Anyway, in the end Brandt's online journey has now come to an end. After being arrested on suspicion of attempted sexual assault on a child and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia he now currently resides at the Boulder County Jail.

However, he may not be there long. The 6,000-year-old creation could possibly free himself if he can only muster the power of invisibility. Something I'm sure the Governor of Atlantis would posses.

Oh well, we'll all just have to wait and see...

I do want to note that I was going to post this information over at the Dreamin Demon forum, but came across the Craigslist ad and decided to post the information here instead. I add this little tidbit for my own paranoid reasons.

Larry Scherger Faces Rape Charges

Victim under 13, states documents:

Ohio--A Fostoria man was arrested by police on Wednesday on accusations that he raped a young girl during a period of about 10 years.

Larry A. Scherger, was indicted on one count of rape, two counts of sexual battery and two counts of gross sexual imposition for allegedly engaging in sexual relations with the child believed to have been less than 13 when the incidents purportedly occurred.

Scherger, who writes that he is a "happily married man" on his MySpace, could face up to life in prison if convicted on all charges.

Two Arrested By Net Task Force

From kalb.com:

"Heath Cazes, w/m, dob 06/09/1989, 1890 Harvey St, Pollock was arrested April 1, 2009 on 1 count of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile.

This arrest resulted from the complaint of a Pineville residence who reported inappropriate internet communications between Cazes and the complainant’s 14 year old son.

Cazes is free on $7500 bond."

However, Mr. Cazes was not the only individual named in the news article. Another young man was also arrested for his alleged involvement in the distribution of child pornography:

"Timothy Smiley, w/m, dob 05/22/1990, 2415 Valleyview, Pineville was arrested April 17, 2009 on 1 count of Pornography Involving Juveniles.

This arrest resulted from ongoing RPSO internet investigations into the possession and distribution of child pornography. Smiley is free on $10,000 bond."

Man Charged With Using MySpace To Lure Girl Into Prostitution

A Florida man is alleged to have used the social networking website MySpace to lure a minor into prostitution in the state of California, according to a recent UPI article.

Christopher Tyrone Young, 28, is also said to have drugged the young girl with "Ecstasy" as well as engaging in sexual activity with her.

After being arrested, the Orlando, Florida man has been charged with one count of sex trafficking of children.

Softball Coach Randy Ronning Arrested In Sex Assault Of Girls

Man had previous sex record, states documents:

A girl's hockey and softball volunteer coach has been arrested for sexually assaulting a 9 and 10-year-old girl at a Day's Inn in Bloomington.

Randy Lee Ronning, 36, of Bloomington, was staying at the motel with an unidentified woman and both girls when he was purportedly seen touching one of the girls inappropriately.

Police were then called into investigate and later learned more information after the 10-year-old told them that Ronning had assaulted her as well on at least several different occasions over a period of seven years. Apparently during that time he had been babysitting the kids as well. 

What's upsetting here besides the obvious is that Mr. Ronning is also a sex offender who had previously been convicted in a 1992 incident. The Bloomington Athletic Association, which Ronning had worked under, did not do and reportedly never has done a background check on any individual coaching the area children. 

That's kind of messed up, but not really all that surprising.  Anyway, Ronning has since admitted to the allegations.

Kevin Freed Accused Of Possessing Child Pornography

Suspect held on $100,000 bond:

A 20-year-old Florida man is currently residing at the Martin County Jail after being accused by police of possessing numerous pornographic images and videos of children.

Kevin Joshua Freed, of Palm City, was greeted by officers on Friday and when confronted allegedly told them he did posses pornography on his computer but "wasn't sure whether any involved children".

Investigators I guess thought otherwise and subsequently placed him in jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.

On his above MySpace profile, Kevin passes himself off as a "Juggalo" in the picture area on his account.  "Ive been down with the clown since 95", writes Kevin on another site as well.

Perhaps the biggest chuckle we can get from Mr. Freed is from his now deceased VampireFreaks account.

Using the screenname, "IzzyEvilMurdoch", Kevin writes the following on it:

"Yo im 20, I use to be a metal promoter ( IZZY EVIL) my friends call me Murdock. Im straight forward, real random, a little insane ( permatrippin) im ur hidden romantic, a hide that side of me actually, but i still stay true to who I am, I am a fighter, I am real stubborn at times, but thats usually why I win. I believe fighting is an art. Charles Manson was a visionary. I really dont know what to write.... Im self teaching myself Tai Chi. Charles Manson was a visionary!!! and A-Team Rulez!!! Meh if you have any questions just ask. I live all over florida currently residing in the MIA. Jason Donovan Charged In Kiddy Porn Case

A 30-year-old Mount Vernon, Illinois man was arrested earlier this week on child pornography charges.

Jason E. Donovan was taken into custody on Tuesday before being released on $35,000 bond after a lengthy investigation between local and federal authorities.

A second man, Cameron M. Wager, also 30, was also arrested by police that same day on similar charges.  

No connection with the arrests has been made between Donovan & Wagner according to the Mt. Vernon Register-News.

Sex Offender James Anagnos Arrested On Child Porn Charges

Suspect held without bail:

A registered sex offender who previously served time for raping a minor has been arrested on child pornography charges.

James A. Anagnos, 36, of Watertown, was apprehended by officers and charged with two felony counts of possessing a sexual perfomance by a child.

Besides the above profile link, Anagnos also maintained another one here in which prior to his arrest on Friday listed his "status" as engaged.

MySpace Chats Gets Men Arrested

Three stories I've neglected to write about and yet still refuse to write about. 

I'm lazy today so I'll just take them directly from the original source themselves.

Using MySpace, all three involved men are said to have solicited young teen aged boys using phony aliases as well as genders and all three were also arrested this past week.

AJC.com:

Georgia--"A Marietta chiropractor and former martial arts instructor has been indicted on sex charges for allegedly enticing teenage boys to send him pictures of themselves naked using Myspace, AOL Instant Messaging and another site.

Michael Macaluso, 37, threatened two boys if they didn’t continue to send him images, prosecutors said."

Central Florida News 13:

Florida--"A Brevard County man was arrested after he was accused of luring boys online.

Brevard County deputies said Steven Maciejka, 31, would pose as a woman in chat rooms on MySpace and elsewhere and convince the boys to send him nude pictures of them."

The Union Leader:

New Hampshire--"Robert G. Slye, 27, of 153 Colby Road, was recently charged with stalking by Danville police after he allegedly sent unsolicited messages through the popular social networking Web site Facebook in June 2008 to a Danville teenager with whom he had been ordered to have no contact.

Danville police Chief Wade Parsons said Slye has also used the Web sites MySpace and You Tube to solicit photos and videos of boys."

Teacher Scott Dietlin Sentenced

"Jessica" gets bad teacher 2 years:

A former teacher residing in the state of California who was arrested after showing up to meet a 15-year-old "girl" for sexual purposes that he had met on MySpace has been sentenced to 2 years in prison.

Scott Dietlin, 36, who taught history at Casa Grande High School, was snagged back in November after a group of boys created a fictitious girl named "Jackie" that was originally intended as a joke but turned much uglier for the teens as the conversations soon turned sexual.

Ricardo Medina Charged In Death Of Baby

Mother also charged with crime:

A 21-year-old Missouri man has been charged with felony child abuse after allegedly throwing a 1-year-old girl five feet onto a hardwood floor resulting in her untimely death late last week.

Ricardo Medina, of Bismarck, was apprehended by officers after police responded to the home where the 1-year-old was found barley breathing and lying on a couch. The child was quickly taken to a hospital where she later died on April 2nd.

The child's mother, Jaimee Scott, 22, has been charged with child endangerment for failing to protect her daughter from abuse.

Police: Teacher Louis Jay Levine Filmed Kids Having Sex

Suspect "slipped through the cracks" for three decades:

A long time teacher "serving" various schools in the state of Tennessee has been arrested on charges of producing child pornography. Police even say they have recovered 400 different video tapes with handwritten labels on them.

According to reports, that teacher was none other than 52-year-old Louis Jay Levine, of Murfreesboro, who was activity filming various teenagers for decades doing drugs and having sex with each other at his home.  

Yes, that's right...decades.

The case began last month when a mother contacted authorities and told them that her son and other teenagers were given alcohol, marijuana and having sex at the good teacher's home in Belle Meade.

Armed with a search warrant, detective paid a visit to Levin's residence and found an "isolation room" as well monitoring and recording equipment throughout his property. 

Detective's also paid a visit to former students of his from the 70's & 80's who told them that they to had used his home for drugs and sex and were also recorded electronically. 

One now adult man even claimed he woke up naked there and found himself being touched by Levine. 

 

Sadly, not a single person ever reported Levin to the police until late last month and had his dark secret never been uncovered I wonder how more decades this would have continued.

Prior to his arrest, Louis Levine had been a first-year teacher with Murfreesboro City Schools and is also said to have initally traveled the area teaching elementary and middle school students as well.

Police: Shana Brown Wanted Daughter To Bear Her Child

Girl given alcohol and drugs, states complaint

A 32-year-old Pennsylvania mother has been charged with allegedly drugging her 13-year-old daughter so that her boyfriend could impregnate her.

Shana Brown, of Union Town, purportedly hatched a plan with her 40-year-old boyfriend, Duane Calloway, to "feed" the child with both drugs and alcohol so that Calloway could have sex with her.

The reason? Brown was unable to have children.

Police say the bearer of this new child was originally intended for Brown's mother who flatly rejected the idea of Calloway impregnating her sometime last year.

Bradley Angerhofer Arrested In Sex Assault Of Girl, 7

While I don't necessarily like to post bare boned profiles on MySpace or even those that are half-filled out some stories are so horrific and even ignored I sometimes will add it here or occasionally on the forum.

From the Argus Leader:

"A Sioux Falls man has been arrested in the sexual assault of a 7-year-old girl.

Bradley John Angerhofer, 32, is charged with two counts of first-degree rape and two counts of sexual contact with a child under 16. He was arrested outside his home about 6:45 p.m. Friday, a day after police received a report that he had sexually assaulted the girl, according to a police department statement."

Angerhofer remains jailed on $100,000 bond.

Admitted Child Molester Rebecca Stubblefield Gets 4 Years

Victim was friend's daughter:

A Springfield, Oregon woman who is believed to have amassed over 600 child porn pictures has been sentenced to 4 years in prison.

Rebecca Marie Stubblefield, 22, who "hid" the images in a folder she called "Becca's Stuff/Puppies", also molested her friend's 3-year-old daughter.

Stubblefield originally came to the attention of investigators after her boyfriend was arrested on similar charges in August of 2007.

He later killed himself in jail.

Firefighter David Bowman Arrested On Child Porn Charges

Suspect showed interest in 7-year-old, say police:

Police in the state of New York have arrested a 20-year-old man on child pornography charges after he allegedly sent the illegal images over the Internet to an undercover police officer.

According to an affidavit, David John Bowman, of Adam, had expressed interest in having sex with the officer who was posing as a 32-year-old mother willing to share herself and her 7-year-old daughter for sex.

Bowman, using the screename "woodstock692003", purportedly had sent several images of children and wrote about engaging in sexual activity with both the mother and the daughter.

Prior to his arrest on Thursday, Bowman claimed on his above MySpace profile that he was a firefighter:

"I Have Graude from two things this year and they are High school Class of 2007 Kicks Ass. I also gradued from My Jefferson County Firefighter One Course and Kick ass firefighter are all around me."

I have no idea what any of that means. Do you? Let's hope he was intoxicated at the time.

Also of note, Mr. Bowman, in a rather poetic entry entitled "Dragons", suggest that those ever pesky fire breathing reptilian creatures walk (or fly) amongst us. But only in Asia apparently or "something like that".

What makes Bowman's arrest so interesting is that he wasn't the only firefighter to solicit sex from an undercover Florida police officer posing as a mom with a 7-year-old daughter. See my post about Mark Farwell, of North Carolina, here.

Duane Derfus Charged In Net Sting

Bond set at $100,000:

An Illinois man has been arrested by police after he allegedly solicited sex from someone whom he believed to be a minor over the Internet.

Duane A. Derfus, 41, of Woodstock, is said to have been apphrended after attempting to meet up with his Internet love child.

Unfortunately for Mr. Derfus, he hadn't actually been conversing with a minor but instead all along was yakking it up with an undercover officer posing as one.

MySpace Pictures Lead To Woman's Arrest

Bail set at $50,000:

A 35-year-old South Carolina woman has been arrested after she allegedly took pictures of two girls, 14 and 15, having sex and posted them on MySpace.

Christina Lynn Player, 35, was apprehended after she purportedly admitted to officers that she knew both girls were underaged, but she took the pictures anyway and posted them on MySpace.

Player’s bail has been set at $50,000.

MySpace Chat Leads To Arrest

Parents discover messages, contact police:

A Columbia, South Carlina man has been arrested by police after they say he solicited sex from a 14-year-old girl using MySpace.

Paul Moody Smith, 37, was apprehended by officers when the parents of the alleged victim contacted police after they discovered inappropriate messages on their child's MySpace account purportedly sent by Mr. Smith.

Once again smart parenting prevailed in what could have turned out to be an ugly incident for their child. To bad more parents don't that. I'd sure be posting a lot less if they did.

Steven Tempel Charged With Molesting Girl

Victim said to be only 5:

Indiana--A 20-year-old Birdseye man has been charged with the molestation of a little five-year-old girl.

Police say, Steven Tempel was apprehended following a request for assistance from the Department of Family and Children located in the city of Jasper.

Tempel writes on his MySpace profile that he is both married and currently expecting a child.

He faces charges of child molestation and vicarious sexual gratification.

Daven Beck Charged In Death Of Daughter

A 20-year-old Colorado man has been charged with 1st degree murder three month's after his 5-month old infant daughter was taken off life support.

Daven Beck, of Delta, is accused by police of beating his own daughter, Cady Beck, so much so that when the autopsy report was finally released it noted a multitude of internal injuries:

"Bleeding in both retinas, an acute subdural hematoma (brain bleeding), bruising along the jaw and frontal scalp, bleeding in the spinal column, and a blood clot, all of which the examiner believed occurred around the time of death.

The muscles of the neck showed bruising and bleeding, the affidavit said, caused by "severe flexion and extension of the neck." There were, Dr. Michael Arnall wrote, a constellation of injuries indicative of "multiple direct traumatic events.""

According to reports, Beck, who is said to have "anger issues", didn't appear that much concerned with his now dead child other than what might happen to him.

Daven Beck had reportedly denied any wrongdoing in death of Cady. However, he allegedly had changed his story to police, initially telling them that she had hit her head "while lying on her stomach" to falling in the bathtub.

Softball Coach Donald Zigler Arrested For MySpace Solicitation

Man jailed in lieu of $15,000 bond:

Tennessee--A 46-year-old girls softball coach has been arrested after police say he solicited sex from a 14-year-old girl using MySpace.

Donald Zigler, of Vonroe, was apprehended by officers after the mother of the victim discovered inappropriate messages allegedly sent from Zingler to her daughter on her personal MySpace account.

Zigler, who describes himself as recently divorced on his MySpace profile, is currently in jail on a $15,000 bond.
