Xbox Rapist Codey Hawks Sentenced To 28 Years

Stayed at child's home for 3 days:

A 19-year-old was sentenced earlier this week to serve at least 28 years in prison for repeatedly raping a 12-year-old that he met while using Xbox Live over the Internet.

Codey R. Hawks, of Burton, Michigan, was sentenced after traveling to Ohio to have sex with the boy at his home beginning in January of 2008.

Hawks had stayed at that home for three long nights where the repeated rapes occurred and apparently with no objection to whomever his guardian was.

The now-out-gay pedophile has also been required to register as a sex offender every 90 days for the rest of his life.

Substitute Teacher Aaron Ringewold Arrested For Child Porn

Suspect employed at Las Vegas Middle School:

A substitute teacher from the state of Nevada has been arrested on child pornography charges.

Aaron Ringewold, 26, of Henderson, was charged with 17 counts of possession of child pornography after a rather lengthy investigation by local detectives.

Ringewold is said to have been employed as a long-term substitute teacher at O'Callaghan Middle School in Las Vegas.

Police are asking anyone with additional information to contact them at 267-4750.

Walgreens Manager Daniel Coyle Accused Of Luring Girls On MySpace

A Florida Walgreens manager has been arrested after allegedly posing as a teenager on MySpace in order to solicit naked pictures and videos of area girls.

Daniel Coyle, 39, of Mims, is alleged to have created two fake names, "Angie and "Lina" in order to converse with his victims through MySpace. Once a "bond" had been established, the two persona's would then introduce the girls to Coyle's real profile, states the Orlando Sentinel.

Coyle, who is married with three children, is currently being held on a $70,000 bond.

The ages of the area girls are said to be as young as 13.

Crystal Pequignot Charged In Rape Case

Victims were 13 & 14:

A 21-year-old Missouri woman will stand trial on on statutory rape charges after allegedly having sex with two teenage brothers.

Crystal L. Pequignot, of Joplin, is alleged to have engaged in sexual activity with the two teens after they ran into her at the local Walgreen's store in early January of this year.

The alleged incident involving the two (then 13 & 14) is said to have occurred at Pequignot’s residence.

Spam King Ronald Scelson Accused Of Cuffing Teen To Chair, Molesting Her

Suspect could face 62 years in prison:

A Louisiana man who had once been known as one of most prolific spammers in the country is now being of accused of raping a 14-year-old girl and molesting another one.

Ronald Scelson, 36, of Slidell, was apprehended after the girl told authorities that he handcuffed her to a chair and molested her. The girl also told police that she saw "sexually explicit material" and open chat rooms on several computer monitors.

During a subsequent investigation, police received additional information that Scelson may have raped a 15-year-old girl in the spring of 2008.

When police raided his home and business on Tuesday, they took with them 10 severs and 15 personal computers. Marijuana and drug paraphernalia were also recovered from his vehicle.

Scelson, who is married, has been charged with molestation of a juvenile, forcible rape, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a weapon while in possession of narcotics.

Anthony Teifke Charged In Sex Assault Of Girl

Victim younger than 12:

A Wisconsin teenager has been charged with sexual assault after allegedly engaging in sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 12.

Anthony R. Teifke, 18, of Fond du Lac, is accused of having sex with the girl sometime during the month May. Police have also accused him of possessing child pornography.

Teifke could face up to 60 years in prison if convicted on all charges.

Bond was set a ridiculous $10,000.

Police: Casey Todd Molested Baby Daughter

6-week-old suffered fractured skull, broken leg:

A 27-year-old Georgia man has been charged with molesting his 6-week-old daughter.

Casey J. Todd, of Roopville, was arrested last week when the child was rushed to the hospital because of severe injuries including a fractured skull and a broken leg.

Later, it was learned there that the 2-month-old girl had been sexually assaulted.

Todd has since been charged with aggravated child molestation, aggravated battery, and first degree cruelty to a child.

The baby is said to be recovering and is currently in the custody of the Division of Family and Children Services.

Suspects traded images online:

Police in Colorado have arrested over a dozen people on various child pornography charges after they located the individuals throughout the area trading illegal material online.

Among those arrested with active MySpace profiles were 3 current or former soldiers and one self-proclaimed "cowboy":

The sting, which had been dubbed "Operation Peerless Summer", ended with an arrest tally of 15.

MySpace Contact Leads To Kidnapping And Rape Charges

Suspect had sex with girl, say police:

Delaware--A 37-year-old Wilmington man has been arrested on kidnapping and rape charges after he allegedly used MySpace to lure a 14-year-old girl living in Pennsylvania into a sexual encounter.

David Hart, who went by "Dave" and claimed he was 22 on MySpace, is said initiated contact with the girl on or around December 27, 2008 through MySpace. After around 12 conversations, and some phone calls, the 37-year-old man talked the girl into meeting him.

Hart suggested that the girl skip school so he could pick her up at a bus stop located in Allentown, Pa. The girl told Hart that could be a problem as her 12-year-old brother was with her.

Nonetheless, the meeting took place, and Hart picked the two up at the bus stop and brought them back to his home in Delaware. Later, as the brother played video games at his home, Hart took the girl into another room and had sex with her.

After the 37-year-old was done doing what he wanted to do with child, he brought them both back to the Allentown bus station and quickly drove off.

Hart then allegedly called his cousin and asked him to delete his MySpace profile, "so that he wouldn’t get in trouble."

But it was too late. Later on, police learned of the activities and arrested Hart at his home.

More Information Released In Murder Of Joanne Witt

Just a short update on the murder of 47-year-old Joanne Witt, allegedly by her own 14-year-old daughter, Tylar and her 19-year-old boyfriend, Steven "Boston" Colver.

According to a search warrant, police discovered several items at the Holiday Inn Golden Gateway Hotel room in San Francisco where the two had been staying. Among the items recovered were a stash of marijuana, some rat poison, condoms, a DVD and more importantly a suicide note that read, "You will find us together, dead on a beach..."

Police say the two teens used a knife to stab Joanne Witt in the neck, as cuts were found on her upper torso and both her face and legs had been covered in blood.

Previously, while alive, Joanne Witt was reportedly taking steps to seek statutory rape charges against Clover and even Tylar had also been recently arrested after assaulting her now dead mother.

Hence the obvious motive, Steven Clover.

Marty Oswald Could Face Death In Rape Of Child

Brother witnessed assault of sister, say police:

Florida--A Plant City man is facing multiple charges after being arrested for the rape of a little 9-year-old Manatee girl.

Marty Oswald, 26, is alleged to have repeatedly sexually assaulted the child after visiting the girl's family in mid-June.

The brother of the alleged victim is said to have also witnessed some of the incidents.

If convicted on all charges, Oswald could face the death penalty.

Lucas Thomas & Kody Riddle Allegedly Molested 12-Year-Old

Second suspect charged in case, more arrest possible:

A 21-year-old Indiana man has been arrested on suspicion of two counts of child molestation for allegeldy engaging in sexual activity with a 12-year-old girl.

Lucas C. Thomas, of Muncie, was apprehended following an incident that occurred in April of this year.

"The girl told investigators she watched Thomas and the 17-year-old girl have sex at the teen’s home in April. The teen told investigators the 12-year-old asked if they could have a threesome, but the teen turned down the request. Following intercourse, the teen performed a sex act on Thomas. The 12-year-old then did the same."

"Several days later, the three were again at the teen girl’s home and Thomas fondled and kissed both girls at the same time. The teen and the 12-year-old also fondled each other. On another occasion, the 12-year-old and the 17-year-old were at the teen’s home, and they fondled one another."

Another suspect, 18-year-old Kody "Super Balls" Riddle, also of Anderson, was charged with molestation as well after allegedly engaging in sexual activity with the same girl.

Both Thomas and the unidentified 17-year-old female have confirmed the victim's story, say investigators.

Police: Phillip Evans Molested Boy, 10

A 20-year-old Florida man was taken into custody early Monday morning on accusations that he molested a 10-year-old boy.

Phillip Evans, Jr., of Dade City, is alleged to have sat down next to boy who had been lying on his bed watching television.

Police say Evans then pulled the boy's shorts down, rubbed his buttocks and began to masturbate himself.

The mother of the child told investigators she walked in on the whole incident.

Evans has since been charged with lewd and lascivious molestation and is currently being held without bail.

Father & Son Arrested In Child Porn Investigation

Thousands of images recovered, say police:

A New York Father-son duo have been arrested on child pornography charges.

Robert Hobbins, 58, (MySpace states 53) has been charged with 369 felony counts of possession of sexual performance of a child, while his son, Steven Hobbins, 19, faces one count.

Investigators say "thousands" of child porn pictures were recovered at their Rochester residence.

The investigation lasted over 5-months and more charges are expected, the Monroe County Sheriff's Department said.

Police: Curtis Weersma Drove 240 Miles To Have Sex With Girl, 12

A 23-year-old Galveston, Texas has been arrested he allegedly drove 240 miles to have sex with a 12-year-old girl at a motel.

Curtis John Weersma, was taken into custody earlier this month after the girl told a counselor about what had happened.

Weersma is being held without bond on the aggravated sexual assault of a child charge.

Besides the above MySpace profile, Weersma also maintained an older one found here.

Weersma is just the latest in a slew of recent child sex related arrest than I've covered here over the years involving young white guys in their 20's who are obsessed with cartoons, especially anime.

I'm not kidding either, it just all seems rather strange to me. But I've noticed it, believe me.

Steven Brunsma Arrested In Child Porn Case

Activity occurred between 2008 & 2009:

A 60-year-old Texas man has been arrested by federal investigators after they say he possessed numerous images of child pornography.

Steven Thomas Brunsma, of Corpus Christi, has been charged with eight counts of possessing, receiving and distributing child pornography, after he allegedly had received pictures of mainly boys as young as 10.

A grand jury handed down the indictment on Thursday.

Substitute Teacher Scott McQuigg Charged In Online Sting

Idaho--A 45-year-old former substitute teacher has been arrested after allegedly soliciting sex online from someone whom he believed to be a minor.

Scott Alan McQuigg, of Boise, was taken into custody and held on $100,000 bond.

According to officials, McQuigg had been conversing online earlier this month with an officer posing as a minor when he suddenly turned the conversation into a sexual nature. He subsequently set up a meeting with the "girl" and later when McQuigg showed up he was arrested by police.

McQuigg had purportedly been teaching at Centennial High School in Boise late last year.

Another suspect, 45-year-old Daniel Aaron Cooper, also of Boise, was arrested during the same sting.

Teacher Michael Drebs Charged In Sex Assault Case

Suspect used MySpace to communicate, say police:

A math teacher in New Jersey has been arrested and charged with sexual assault after allegedly engaging in a four-month long relationship with a minor.

Michael Drebs, 37, of Millville, is accused of engaging in sexual activity with the 14-year-old girl during the Memorial Day weekend. During that same time frame, he is also alleged to have had sex with a 16-year-old student of his.

Police say Drebs, who most recently taught at Memorial High School, also had been using both MySpace and Facebook to communicate with his victims.

He currently remains in jail on $500,000 bail.

Sunday School Teacher Shea Huffman Accused Of Child Sex Crimes

Virigina--An 18-year-old Sunday School teacher has been arrested by police after they say he sexually assaulted a young boy believed to be between the ages of 3-5.

Shea Mathew Huffman, of Virginia Beach, was taken into custody last Friday after accusations began to surface that Huffman had been abusing the child beginning sometime in early January of 2008.

Detective's say the incidents took place at the Calvary Assembly of God in Virgina Beach.

Richard Stinson Arrested In Net Sex Sting

A Waverly Hall, Georgia man has been after after police say he solicited sex online from someone whom he believed to be a minor.

Richard Stinson, 20, was taken into custody and charged with obscene Internet contact with a child and sexual exploitation of a child.

A 21-year-old Washingtion YMCA employee has been charged in the rape of a 13-year-old club member.

Powell was formally charged with second-degree rape of a child and communication with a minor for immoral purposes on June 12. He met the girl when he was working as a YMCA receptionist and gave the victim and her family a tour of the facility, which they joined in May, according to investigators. The two then traded sexually explicit text messages that progressed into sexual encounters, local police said.

Bremerton police were called by the girl's parents when they discovered the text messages. Officers were called in to interview the girl, who provided them with information leading to Powell’s arrest.

Powell has not denied the sexual relationship and stated in court documents that he believed the girl was 17, though the girl told investigators she hadn’t lied about her age.

A Bremerton YMCA official told local media that Powell has been suspended from employment until the investigations are finalized.

Though police say none of the sexual encounters took place at the YMCA, the club said it is taking extra precautions to prevent future incidents.

"We screen these employees extremely well," Patrick Boyle, Bremerton YMCA board chairman, told local media. "We train them all of the time, and it's really disappointing when you find out something like this, but we still don't know it's a fact."

Powell is being held at the Kitsap County Jail on $25,000 bail

Police: Julie Carr Molested Own Children On Webcam

Suspect jailed on small 50k bail:

An investigation that began in Britain has led to the arrest of a Maine woman who allegedly used a webcam to stream online video of her performing sexual acts on her very own children.

Federal authorities say Julie Carr, 30, of Mars Hill, was apprehended by officers after police in Britain contacted US authorities about a video that had been streamed online purportedly showing a woman sexually abusing a child.

An 18-year-old Walsall, England, man was also arrested in connection with the case.

Carr's four children have since been taken into protective custody.

Bond was set at an absurd $50,000.

Tylar Witt & Steven Colver Suspected In Murder Of Mom

MySpace helps build case, say police:

Police in the state of California say a 47-year-old El Dorado Hills woman was brutally killed by both her 14-year-old daughter and her daughter's 19-year-old boyfriend.

Investigators are currently searching for Tylar Marie Witt, and Steven "Boston" Paul Colver after they believe the two of them murdered 47-year-old Joanne M. Witt, who's lifeless body was found on Monday while police were conducting a welfare check.

Colver, who was often seen at Witt's home smoking cigarettes and often dressed in a trench coat by neighbors, is believed to be in the San Fransisco Bay area with Tylar.

According to ABC affiliate KXTV , detectives had previously paid a visit to Witt's residence on two separate occasions in past several months. One of the incidents had purportedly involved a report of a sexual assault.

Nurse Kase Dilbeck Arrested On Rape Charges

Tennessee--A 21-year-old Parkridge Valley Hospital nurse has been arrested on statutory rape charges after she allegedly engaged in sexual activity a with a minor in the adolescent unit.

Kase Christine Dilbeck, of Dayton, is said to have befriended the unidentified patient sometime in 2008 after "caring" for him.

The investigation into Dilbeck is said to have begun after a photo of the two was discovered by a former patient.

She was released quickly after posting $5,000 bond.

Church Music Director David Zobel Charged In MySpace Sex Case

Suspect took girls to parking garage, say police:

Michigan--A 32-year-old Ann Arbor man has been arrested by agents with the FBI and local police after they say he forced to young runaway girls, 12 & 13, that he met on MySpace to engage in sexual activity with him.

David Jeremy Zobel, director of music at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Ypsilanti, had reportedly been conversing with the two young girls on MySpace, before ultimately driving to the state of Ohio where a criminal complaint states he forced the both of them "to engage in sex acts" in a parking garage.

Even though Zobel denies the allegations, investigators say they have recovered sexually explicit pictures of the two victims at his apartment.

If convicted on all charges, Zobel could be sentenced to 30 years in prison.

Tyler Hayes Weinman Charged In Cat Killings

Cats gutted, left on lawns of owners:

An 18-year-old Florida teenager has been arrested by police after being accused of killing and mutilating over a dozen cats.

Tyler Hayes Weinman, of Miami, is believed to have been involved in the deaths of at least 18 different area felines throughout the neighborhood, which reportedly lasted around four weeks.

One cat, Cami, was found with her eyes gouged out and her snout completely cut off.

Weinman, who was recently arrested for marijuana possession, has since been charged with 19 counts of felony animal cruelty and 4 counts of burglary.

Operation Orange Tree Nets Arrests

Florida--A major child pornography sting lasting 10 weeks has resulted in the arrest of over 70 people.

Among those arrested in "Operation Orange Tree" were:

James Edward Martnick, 21, of Clermont.
Patrick Louis Melton, 16, of Tampa.
Kevin Patrick Meere, 24, of Valrico.

Allen Jeffs Charged With Sexual Assault Of Child

Bond set at $75,000:

Connecticut--A 24-year-old man has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a child.

Police say, Allen Jeffs, of Wauregan, made "sexual contact" with the alleged victim on at least two different occasions.

He has been charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault and three counts of risk of injury to a minor.

The investigation into Jeffs is said to have lasted more than four months.

FBI: Jason Golden Nearly Reached 8,000 Child Porn Images

28-year-old snagged in net sting:

A Kentucky man has been taken into custody by police on accusations that he amassed nearly 8,000 images of various children engaged in sexual conduct.

Jason C. Golden, of Science Hill, is alleged to have been corresponding with a federal agent in April over the Internet when over time the two struck up a "relationship" and the 28-year-old suspect suddenly made the images available to him.

Golden, who writes on his above MySpace profile that he is a soldier, has been charged with distributing images showing minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Police: James Handsaker Seeks Sex With Girl, 13

"Girl" was actually police officer:

A 35-year-old father of two has been arrested in his home state of Nebraska after allegedly soliciting someone he believed to be a 13-year-old girl online for sex.

James Allen Handsaker, of North Platte, wasn't actually chatting with though with a young girl but instead an undercover police officer posing as one.

The 6 ft 5. man will have a lot explaining to do later today, as to why he attempted to cheat on "the best woman in the world" with a little 13-year-old girl.

Handsaker is currently being lodged at the Sarpy County Jail.

Church Worker Antoine Johnson Charged In MySpace Sex Case

Suspect posed as girl online:

A 26-year-old man Georgia man is in jail today after police say he posed as a girl on MySpace to meet up with a 13-year-old boy and engage in sexual acts with him.

Antoine Louis Johnson, of Dacula, was apprehended by officers after the alleged victim told his parents that he was molested last year by Mr. Johnson.

According to reports, Johnson had set up the fake profile using the name "Kristen" to befriend the boy. After spending sometime bantering back and forth, "Kristen" told him that before meeting "her" he would have to first meet up with a male friend of hers.

That male friend of course was Johnson, who then picked the boy up, took him to a home and allegedly sexually assaulted him.

Johnson, who often worked with youth at Hebron Baptist Church in Dacula, has been charged with two counts of aggravated child molestation and two counts of child molestation.

James Broadway Charged In MySpace Rape Investigation

Parents initially filed report:

A 29-year-old North Carolina man has been arrested and charged with statutory rape after he purportedly had sex with a minor that he met using MySpace.

James Ray Broadway Jr., of Goldsboro, is alleged to have been communicating with the victim, who is believed to be younger than 16, before ultimately meeting up with her and engaging in sexual activity.

Bond was set at $100,000 on Friday.

Soldier Drew Wherry Arrested In Child Porn Case

Bail set at $25,000:

Alaska--A 25-year-old Fairbanks man has been arrested after police say he had been trading child pornography online.

Drew Wherry, a soldier stationed at Fort Wainwright, was apprehended by investigators on Friday.

Wherry has since been indicted on 21 counts of possession of child pornography and one count of distributing child pornography.

Mervin Leparre Busted In MySpace Sex Sting

Suspect thought he was chatting with "girl":

A 26-year-old New Jersey man has been arrested after allegedly soliciting a 15-year-old girl for sex through MySpace.

Mervin R. Leparre III, of Cliffwood, was arrested by police in the state of Connecticut on Thursday. He had traveled there because that's where the "girl" had told him she lived.

Luckily however, there was no girl but instead an undercover officer who had posing all along as the minor on MySpace.

Leparre, who is married, has been charged with criminal attempt to entice a minor and criminal attempt to impair the morals of a minor.

Virgil Garcia Arrested In Child Porn Case

New Mexico--A search warrant at an apartment in Clovis has led to the arrest of two people.

Virgil Garcia, 25, was found inside smoking marijuana when officers arrived at his door on suspicions that he had been downloading child pornography over the Internet.

Because of this fellow pot smoker Isaiah Garcia, 19, of Texas, was also arrested.

A quick scan of Virgil's computer has purportedly located at least 13 different images and 3 videos of child pornography on his computer.

Virgil has since been charged with 16 counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children.

Tennessee--A Chattanooga man is currently behind bars after police say he abducted a little six-year-old girl at a local Hardware store so that he could "rape and kill her".

Jeremy Mizell, 35, who is behind held on one million dollars, attempted to abduct the girl last month at the Ace Hardware store.

The grandfather of the girl told police that he saw Mizell holding his granddaughter and trying to get her into his car. The man ran toward Mr. Mizell who quickly released the child and ultimately fled the scene.

Police later tracked down the Mizell who admitted to them that he was going to take her to "an unknown location and 'rape and kill her'".

MySpace Contact Leads To Arrests

Here are two stories out of the state of Florida involving adult males (one a former cop, the other a school counselor), MySpace, children and sex.

First from The Palm Beach Post:

"A former Wellington afterschool counselor was arrested on charges of having sex last summer with a 12-year-old girl who he met years earlier in his school's after-school program.

Authorities say Blake Freda, 23, met the girl about four years ago while working as a counselor at New Horizons Elementary School in Wellington, where the girl began attending the after-school program in third grade.

He got back in touch with her in 2007 through the MySpace.com social-networking Web site, detectives say, and in the summer of 2008 - when the girl was 12 - he took her to malls and movie theaters, where the two engaged in sexual activity."

The girl's smart father ultimately grew weary of his daughter's recent behavior and installed a monitoring program that allowed him see both her online messages and MySpace account. Evidently, dad didn't like what he saw and immediately reported it to police.

Freda, who also operates this YouTube account, has been arrested on charges of lewd and lascivious battery.

Next up is the story of 22-year-old former police officer, Michael Gregory Miles.

The New Smyrna Beach man is alleged to have befriended a 14-year-old male student that he purportedly had met while volunteering at the Discovery Academy in Edgewater.

Eventually, according to Fox 35 News WOFL, Miles and the boy subsequently began to have a sexual relationship. A report also states that the two often chatted on MySpace.

Miles has since been charged with lewd and lascivious acts and sexual battery.
