Deputy Craig Wlaschin Has A Child Porn Problem

Lexington County cop arrested.

Lexington, SC - Deputy Craig Edward Wlaschin, 25, has a problem, and not just any little problem. An ex-girlfriend snitched him off as to having child porn on his home computer. After being brought in for questioning, he told deputies that he "had a problem" and signed a written confession stating that he had "knowingly" downloaded child porn on his computer in 2009 and 2010. Multiple images of children having sex were found. Source

Wlaschin's work computer was seized and is being examined by SLED. He has been charged with second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and and fired from his two year job as a deputy. Bond has been set at $100,000.

Fyi, Wlaschin has a MySpace and goes by the handle, iroc_dis. He's a nice guy who tells everyone to "go fuck themselves". He can be found all over the internet using his really cool Myspace name. The only thing positive I can see on his account is that he doesn't want kids.

  1. Craig Wlaschin signed no written confession. This an erroneous report. His girlfriend who reported the alleged porn is a known drug addict who did this as retaliation when Wlaschin ended their relationship. Can't always believe the media.

  2. Wow. A strong statement coming from someone who doesn't actually know her. If you did then you'd know she isn't a drug addict you finger pointing parrot.

  3. "Sheriff James Metts says 25 year old Craig Wlaschin signed a written confession and told deputies he quote “had a problem.”

You can argue that with the sheriff and the news media. The quote can be found @

  5. He'a a freaking pedo. Stop denying it and come to terms. Prison rapes and beatings should get him over the habit...if he lives.

  6. to the original anonymous poster- if you're going to make such bold accusations about someone, you should do that person the courtesy of not hiding who you are. secondly, how does his ex-girlfriend's drug use ((be it real or falsified)) matter? are you saying that because she may or may not have had a completely unrelated problem, that negates the fact that what the deputy did was not only illegal but morally reprehensible? do her motivations change his actions? i would be willing to guess you're a member of his family. and while i understand you're hurt right now, shifting the blame off of him and on to someone else will only further enable him and hinder him from making the changes he needs to make to become a decent human being.

  7. From what Ive heard from some people who are familiar with the situation, its not that his ex-girlfriends motive is in question, its that there is a very real chance that she may have planted the child porn on his computer in order to get him in trouble once he broke up with her. If thats the case, then he could very well be quite innocent. Once the case goes to trial, if he is found guilty, then he will certainly get help. But if the case is acquitted or he is found not guilty, then what? This website has declared him guilty without a conviction. Isn't that unethical? Could you imagine having the internets unjustly attack you because of an unstable, vindictive ex who was trying to ruin your life?

  8. he signed a written confession that he was the one who had downloaded the child pornography. somehow i doubt that, were it planted by his ex, he would decide that ruining his life and confessing to protect her would be a good idea. nobody is that much of a saint.

  9. If someone had planted the child porn on his computer why would he have signed a confession? His LAWYER has said that he signed a confession. whether or not his ex is a druggie doesnt matter. If his ex is the one that planted porn he wouldnt have signed a confession.

  10. If you have read the news reports, she found the porno on his computer in December. They broke up in late January, and she reported him soon after that. (Jan. 31st, for those who are keeping track) Media doesn't lie, and neither does Craig's superior (Sheriff Metts) especially when his reputation is on the line. You can view the Lexington news here

    and the official report here

This was as difficult a decision for her as it would be for anyone else.

  11. I don't believe that the ex gf put the kiddie porn on Wlaschin's computer. However, once they were broken up she had no reason to protect his secrets anymore.

  12. I don't believe his ex girlfriend put the porn on his pc either. How convenient to try to pin it on the ex lover. This shows you how ignorant people really are.

  13. Clearly some of his Ex girlfreinds family or friends are posting. For all of those so quick to hate Mr. Wlaschin, may you never be unjustly accused. When all the facts in this matter come to light, which I know they will, then we will all see the evil deeds that have been done, and by who.

  14. Regardless of if the ex girlfriend or anyone directly involved with the case has been posting, the porn was found on his computer. The charge is that it was there and he knowingly downloaded it. There has been no unjust accusation - the accusation was absolutely true. It's an unfortunate situation, and the timing is terrible for everyone (not that this would be better received at any other time), but the facts are facts.

I hope his family can realize that their son has/had a serious problem that, unfortunately, got him in serious trouble, and it wasn't anyone else's fault. Sometimes bad actions get bad results - no matter what the intention or background.

  16. Just to let everyone know who is keeping track of this. I personally know both craig and the ex. I'm not family just a friend. Craig did admit to having it on his computer and that he had put it there himself. He knew that the detectives were coming that day and he didn't try to hide anything. He could have burnt the pc or thrown it away and he didn't . He has admitted he had a problem and the ex. Well he was with her for years and she knew about the porn the whole time. When he wouldn't pay for her to come visit every weekend cause she lives in another state, she pissed. He broke up with her and she called the police thhe next day... and he knew she was gonna cause she threatened him with that. As of now he has seeked help with his prob and is over it..

  17. On 6 February 2012, the case against Craig Wlaschin was disposed on grounds of Nolle Prosequi in spite of Wlaschin having signed a written confession.

    This is absolutely disgusting.
