The Perv Files: Photographer Perry Pellegrini Arrested

CALIFORNIA----- An amateur photographer from Lake Elsinore attempted to end it by slashing his wrists after being confronted by his wife for the ongoing sex abuse of a child.

After treatment of his wounds and a psych evaluation, police arrested Perry Anthony Pellegrini, 50, for reported lewd acts with a child under the age of 14, continuous sex abuse of a child and child pornography.

A search of his computer revealed "numerous digital photos of minors in several states of undress."

Pellegrini, a father of eight children, three are stepchildren, formerly worked at Disneyland. He owns PSP Photography in Lake Elsinore, and writes on his site, “I love shooting the edgy side if it’s done tasteful, however, not interested in pornography!” O rly?

Pellegrini is being held in the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside on a $150,000 bond. He can be found all over the internet pushing his pin-up photography.

  1. Sad, this is my friend's father. Pray for everyone involved. His children are having a hard time.

  2. I know this family too, they could use all the help they can get right now...Praying for you guys

  3. I'm just curious, could Perry Pellegrini really be guilty of child molestation, or could it be just possible this is some sort of frame-up? I'm not advocating child rape at all; if he is guilty I'd be the first to hang him from the rafters. All I'm saying is the man, like anyone charged with a crime, deserves a fair and honest trial. Instead, the moment someone is even under suspicion of child molestation they're automatically "guilty" forever, even if their innocence is well proven afterwards. More than 1 person has been wrongfully charged and even convicted for crimes they never committed. I find it interesting his wife accused him the day after she filed for divorce from him. Could it be possible she "planted" the pictures on his computer while he was in the hospital? Could she have "coaxed" these children to accuse him of such a crime for some personal gain? Could the investigators and prosecutors just want a conviction so that they look like "heroes" to their community, possibly for their own political agendas? Since we don't know these people, we don't know all the facts. And as far as Pellegrini trying to kill himself, I might try the same thing if someone accused me of such a hineous crime. After all, even if this is just a witchhunt, and he is innocent, would he really ever be free of such suspicions? Even if he is innocent, and he's released, his life is ruined forever. He'll never be able to get a job again (or at least a good-paying one), he'll never be welcome in any community (especially one with children), and he may never enjoy a happy life with a spouse again. Like I said, if he is guilty, he deserves eternal hell, and I'd be the first to send him there. But I think we need to slow down and give the man his day in court, with a fair and impartial jury weighing out the evidence against him. In summary, to quote the words of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ: JUDGE NOT, LEST YE BE JUDGED.

  4. Guess we will just have to hide and watch until he goes to trial. My guess is Pellegrini will take a nice little plea deal so all the details won't come out in court.

As for police finding photos of those two little girls being molested (home-made child porn) in his possession, I doubt this is a some elaborate frame up.

Come back and comment after the plea deal.

  5. I have known Perry since he was married to his first wife and the children were babies. Over 30 years at least. He has been a true and loyal loving father. He has been an incredibly good friend to me and stood by my side through tough times. He has been one of the kindest and open people I have known. This man adores his children and if he did try to hurt himself it was because he could not live with the accusations brought to him. I do not know his current wife but I know he loves his family and would never do anything heinous like this. He is an incredible photographer, one of the best, I truly with all my heart do not believe this man would ever do such a thing. I have seen his gallery of photographs and would never think of anything being pornographic. I never got that impression. The media will do anything to discredit an individual for any story especially something to this extreme. They can word a story to ruin your lives the rest of your days, people can never get past what is stated in words. This grieves me to hear this kind and wonderful man has fallen to this. I know in my heart he just wouldn't have taken it to this level, he has integrity, he just wouldn't do this. Perry I know your a good man and there is more to the story than what is being shown to the public. Prayers for you!!!

  6. Update: Back in Jail

Pellegrini had been free on a $50,000 bond since early January. However, the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office filed a motion last week seeking to up the bail amount per the state’s bail schedule for the charges at issue.

During a bail review hearing at the Southwest Justice Center in Murrieta, Superior Court Judge Michael Rushton agreed with the prosecution, increasing the defendant’s bail to $150,000. Pellegrini was immediately remanded to the custody of sheriff’s deputies.
